Vladivostok CHP-1 undergoes major upgrades with temporary water cuts ahead

Primorskye Teplovye Seti, a subsidiary of DGK JSC, has begun major repairs at Vladivostok CHP-1. The work includes upgrading a boiler and replacing a large section of the heating network. Some areas will face temporary hot water restrictions as a result.

Hydraulic tests on the heating networks from Vladivostok CHP-1 started on May 18 and will run until May 25. These checks come ahead of a broader overhaul of the plant’s boiler unit No. 3, part of the BKZ-76-16M system. All replacement equipment, including coil assemblies for the boiler’s second and third stages, has already arrived on site. The total weight of the new network circuit coils reaches 13.6 tons, with every component sourced from Russian manufacturers.

From early June, crews will begin replacing a 400-metre stretch of the single-pipe heating network. The upgrade will increase the pipe diameter from 720 mm to 1,020 mm, improving capacity. Andrey Krishchenko, who leads the repair preparation and execution department at Primorskye Teplovye Seti, is supervising the project. As a result of these works, hot water supply will be temporarily limited in parts of the Frunzensky, Leninsky, and Pervorechensky districts. The restrictions will apply to specific addresses between June 2 and August 26.

The repairs will modernise key infrastructure at Vladivostok CHP-1 and expand the heating network’s efficiency. Residents in affected districts have been notified about the scheduled hot water interruptions. The project is set to conclude by late August.
