TotalEnergies boosts growth with Angola gas field launch and rising shares

TotalEnergies SE has strengthened its position in the energy sector with recent developments. The company’s share price climbed to around €74, reflecting a 2.86% increase. Meanwhile, a new gas field in Angola has just begun production, marking a key achievement for the firm. The launch of Angola’s offshore Quiluma gas field represents a major step forward. This project boosts TotalEnergies’ production capacity and reinforces its presence in African energy markets.

Despite temporary disruptions in Qatar and Iraq, the company has maintained stability. Its diversified energy strategy, including new ventures in Brazil and Guyana, helps reduce regulatory risks. Investors also benefit from a high dividend yield, providing security in unpredictable markets. The board has recently expanded its independence, now standing at 82% under Afep-Medef guidelines. Sławomir Krupa was appointed as an independent director, further strengthening governance. The next annual general meeting is set for May 29, 2026, where shareholders will review progress and future plans.
