Repair works are currently being carried out on Lenin Street, a main transport artery in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The works are being managed by the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky City District Administration and are scheduled to last for approximately three and a half months, from May 17 to August 31.
The repair works are being conducted on two distinct sections of the street. One section spans from the Fleet Officers' House to the intersection of Soviet and Lenin Streets, and the other continues towards the Drama Theatre. During the repair works, another brigade is installing curbs, while five specialized teams are involved in tasks such as laying stormwater drainage, installing manholes, and laying pipes. Electricians are also part of the team, focusing on communication lines and street lighting.
Until the repair is completed, vehicle traffic will be maintained on Soviet Street in two lanes. The active phase of road surface replacement is scheduled to occur after the installation of stormwater drainage and lighting. Approximately in mid-June, after completing all preparatory stages, builders will start removing unsuitable soil and laying new earthwork.
