Deel Local Payroll launches instant Open Banking salary payments in the UK

Deel Local Payroll has rolled out a new feature for UK businesses. The embedded payroll payments system lets companies process salaries directly through Open Banking transfers. It aims to simplify payroll tasks and reduce errors in payments. The new tool allows payroll managers and bureaus to handle payroll and pay employees in one step. Instead of exporting files or switching between systems, payments are made instantly via bank transfers. The feature also supports bulk salary payments, secure bank authentication, and real-time tracking of payment statuses.

Flexible scheduling is included, letting businesses set payment dates in advance. The system is powered by Crezco, a UK-based payments platform regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Each payment batch can process up to 500 transactions at once. The embedded approach cuts down on manual admin work. It also provides clearer visibility over outgoing payments, lowering the risk of delays or mistakes. For now, the feature is only available to Deel Local Payroll customers in the UK, with no access for those in Ireland.

The launch removes the need for prefunding separate wallets or managing multiple systems. UK businesses using Deel Local Payroll can now streamline their payroll process with direct bank transfers. The feature is live and ready for use by eligible customers.
