Krasnodar families face steep graduation costs for outfits and parties
Graduation celebrations in Krasnodar are proving costly for families this year. Parents are spending thousands of rubles on outfits and parties as their children finish ninth and eleventh grades. The expenses vary depending on the child’s year group and gender.
For ninth-grade graduations, parents typically spend around 15,000 rubles on clothes and shoes for daughters. Sons’ outfits cost slightly more, averaging 17,000 rubles. However, not all families invest in formal wear—17% skip special attire for daughters, while 22% do the same for sons.
The average cost of a ninth-grade prom in the city is 15,000 rubles. But 13% of parents choose not to organise a party at all. For eleventh-graders, the expenses rise. Outfits for daughters reach an average of 22,000 rubles, while sons’ clothing and footwear cost around 20,000 rubles. A graduation party for this age group sets families back about 20,000 rubles. Still, 7% of parents decide against holding a celebration.
The figures highlight the financial commitment families make for graduation events in Krasnodar. While most invest in outfits and parties, a notable percentage opt out of certain traditions. The costs reflect both the importance of the occasion and the varying priorities of parents.
