Urban Ticketing Hub Established: Firefly's City Office Now Open for Public Ticketing Services.
In an effort to make booking flights more convenient for its customers, Firefly, a Malaysian low-cost airline, has opened a new city ticketing office in Kuching, Sarawak. Situated along Jalan Song Thian Cheok, the office is easily accessible and is near major hotels, making it a convenient location for travellers.
The new office, Firefly's first in East Malaysia, aims to cater to the strong local demand for affordable air travel. According to Firefly's head of Marketing and Communications, Angelina Corrina Fernandez, the demand for low fares remains robust.
The Kuching city ticketing office offers a range of services, including ticket sales, flight inquiries, check-in assistance, and customer service. It is also equipped to serve customers who may not have access to credit or debit cards, stable internet connection, or who prefer dealing with staff in person.
Firefly's Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which will operate from the Kuching office, has a seating capacity of 189. The airline has announced that it will offer unbeatable value at the lowest fares with this aircraft.
For passengers travelling on the Kuching-Kuala Lumpur route, Firefly offers a Standard set of services priced at RM38. This package includes an in-flight meal, bottle of mineral water, 15+5kg of check-in baggage allowance, and Preferred Seat selection. Passengers can also opt for the Premium set of services for additional benefits.
Firefly leverages on Malaysia Airlines' infrastructure such as maintenance engineers, ground-handling operations, and financial support to keep costs low. This allows the airline to offer competitive fares without compromising on quality.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft used by Firefly also boasts blended winglets, which lower fuel burn, further contributing to the airline's cost-effectiveness.
Starting January 15, Firefly will operate twice daily from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur. This frequency will increase to four times daily starting January 24. The latest all-in fare promotion for the Kuching-Kuala Lumpur route is RM59 one way for the travel period of January 17 to May 15.
The new Kuching city ticketing office is designed to serve customers directly and is open for business. For accurate and updated information, customers are encouraged to check Firefly's official website or contact their customer service directly. Parking is available near the office for added convenience.
The new Firefly office, strategically located in Kuching, Sarawak, not only provides ticketing services and check-in assistance but also caters to customers with limited access to financial services like credit or debit cards, or stable internet connections. Additionally, the airline's finance department, in collaboration with the transportation industry, continues to keep costs low through the utilization of Malaysia Airlines' infrastructure and the use of fuel-efficient Boeing 737-800 aircraft with blended winglets in their finance and transportation operations.
