SberLife Insurance slashes claim payouts to just five minutes

SberLife Insurance has cut the processing time for life insurance claims to just five minutes. The change, introduced in June 2025, covers payouts for temporary disability and death benefits. In April alone, the company settled 217 claims totalling 77.6 million rubles. The majority of payments went to borrowers and credit card holders under life insurance programmes. These policies provide financial protection in case of disability or death. Some payouts also covered accumulative life insurance (ALI) policies.

Before June 2025, claim processing took significantly longer. Now, beneficiaries receive funds within minutes of approval. The faster system applies specifically to temporary disability and death-related claims.

The new five-minute processing time marks a major shift in how quickly SberLife Insurance handles claims. Policyholders and their families now receive payouts almost instantly. The update affects millions of borrowers, cardholders, and ALI customers across Russia.
