In the heart of Osnabrück, a significant project to expand the city's power grid has reached its completion. The construction work, spearheaded by SWO Netz, a subsidiary of the city's public utilities, began on July 3.

The project's focus was on enhancing the power grid's capacity within the city centre. During the Easter holidays, new cables were laid along the Nikolaizentrum, and protective pipe crossings were created under the roadway.

The construction work was carried out efficiently, and it was completed ahead of schedule. As a result, the full closure of the Kamp and the northern end of Redlingerstraße, which was initially planned for the summer holidays, has been completed earlier than anticipated. This development allows buses to return to their normal route.

The next phase of the project will involve laying cables on both sides at house number 78, which necessitated the initial closure of the Kamp and the northern end of Redlingerstraße. The exact timeline for this phase has not been disclosed at this time.

For more information about the project and its future phases, we recommend visiting the official websites of Stadtwerke Osnabrück or the local transit operator (Stadtwerke or Verkehrsbetriebe) for updates. You can also stay tuned to regional news outlets like the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung for further developments.
