C & I Leasing doubles dividend after N3.9bn profit in 2025
C & I Leasing Plc has announced a final dividend of 20 kobo per share for the 2025 financial year. The company’s net profit reached N3.9 billion, fuelled by stronger lease income and asset growth.
The proposed dividend marks a 100% increase from the 10 kobo paid in 2024. Valued at around N589.7 million, it reflects a payout ratio of 15.08% and a yield of 2.96% based on the share price of N6.75 before trading on May 19, 2026. Shareholders registered by June 1, 2026, will receive the payment electronically on June 15, provided they have completed e-dividend registration.
The company’s total assets grew to N150.1 billion, up from N135.5 billion, with operating lease assets contributing N69.6 billion. Lease income also climbed to N44.4 billion, driving the rise in profit. Additionally, C & I Leasing reported a pre-tax profit of N532.8 million in Q1 2026, compared to N487.9 million in the same period last year.
The dividend increase follows a year of financial growth, with higher lease income and expanded assets. Eligible shareholders will receive their payments in mid-June, subject to registration requirements. The company’s performance suggests continued momentum into 2026.
