Börsenmedien acquires Finanzwissen to expand financial education reach

Börsenmedien is taking a majority stake in Finanzwissen, a financial education and comparison platform. The deal, set to complete on 1 June 2026, will merge the finanzwissen.de portal into Börsenmedien’s publishing group. The move aims to broaden access to financial information for private investors across German-speaking regions. The acquisition will see Finanzwissen relocate its headquarters to Kulmbach, Germany. Sebastian Rau, the company’s current Managing Director, will remain in charge of day-to-day operations. Börsenmedien plans to use the deal to strengthen its digital presence in retail investing, consolidate affiliate activities, and expand its financial product comparison tools.

Bernd Förtsch, Founder and Owner of Börsenmedien, described the takeover as a natural fit. It complements their long-standing monthly magazine *Euro* with a digital platform. The transaction also prepares the group for rising demand in retirement planning, particularly through equity savings plans. The combined offering will provide investors with easier access to reliable financial information and tailored solutions. Börsenmedien’s strategy focuses on bundling expertise to serve the growing needs of private investors.

The deal officially begins on 1 June 2026. Finanzwissen’s integration into Börsenmedien will expand the group’s digital footprint in financial education. The move also positions the company to meet increasing interest in long-term investment planning.
