Aventum Group acquires Post & Co to expand European marine insurance reach

Aventum Group has acquired Post & Co, a long-established marine insurance specialist. The deal expands Aventum’s reach into continental Europe while strengthening its marine underwriting and claims services. Post & Co, founded over a century ago, will now operate under Aventum’s managing general agent platform, Rokstone.

The acquisition aligns with Aventum’s strategy of capability-led growth rather than pure scale. By integrating Post & Co, the company gains access to key European markets, including offices in Rotterdam, Groningen, Antwerp, and Frankfurt. The move also brings additional underwriting authority and deepens Aventum’s marine insurance expertise.

Post & Co will retain its existing leadership team while joining Rokstone. This ensures operational continuity as Aventum expands its footprint. The deal also opens doors to around 250 brokers across Europe and Asia, leveraging Post & Co’s established relationships. Aventum currently operates in the UK, North America, and Asia. The acquisition accelerates its regional expansion in Europe and creates opportunities to explore other specialty insurance segments. The company has emphasised targeted acquisitions as a core part of its growth plan.

The acquisition of Post & Co bolsters Aventum’s marine insurance capabilities and extends its network across Europe. With access to new markets and broker partnerships, the company is positioned to broaden its specialty insurance offerings. The deal maintains Post & Co’s leadership while integrating its operations into Aventum’s existing platform.
