Zip's Pay in 2 lets shoppers split bills over two weeks—with a limited-time bonus

Digital finance company Zip has rolled out a new payment option called Pay in 2. The service lets shoppers split purchases into two instalments over a fortnight. Early adopters can now benefit from a limited-time promotion running from February 9 to February 15.

Pay in 2 is designed to help customers manage cash flow within a single billing cycle. It offers more control over everyday spending, particularly on essentials like groceries and bills. During a pilot phase, 95% of participants reported they would use the service again.

To encourage uptake, Zip is waiving origination fees for one year on all future orders. The incentive applies to the first 100 customers per day who use Pay in 2 during the promotional window. The company has not disclosed how many users globally have adopted its existing instalment plans, such as Pay in 4.

The promotion runs until February 15, targeting the first 100 daily users. Pay in 2 aims to provide flexibility for short-term budgeting, especially on routine expenses. Feedback from early testers suggests strong demand for the service.
