Milan's A-Cube raises €4M to revolutionize tax compliance with AI

A-Cube, a Milan-based startup specialising in digital tax document management, has secured €4 million in fresh funding. The investment will help the company expand its platform and integrate artificial intelligence into its services. Industry experts predict growing demand as new EU tax rules take effect. The funding round was led by P101 SGR, with additional support from Sella Direct Ventures. A-Cube’s platform already handles over 70 million invoices for more than 450 customers across 10 countries. Its core offering includes electronic invoicing and real-time tax reporting.

Antonino Caccamo, co-founder and CTO of A-Cube, highlighted the timing of the investment, coinciding with major shifts in global taxation. The EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (VIDA) directive is set to push more businesses toward real-time tax compliance. Giuseppe Donvito, a partner at P101, noted that electronic invoicing could reach 90% of European firms by 2030, creating a market worth over €20 billion. A-Cube plans to move beyond basic compliance tools. The company aims to develop its platform into a broader financial and operational layer, using automation and AI to streamline tax, accounting, and business workflows.

The €4 million injection will accelerate A-Cube’s growth as stricter tax regulations drive demand for digital solutions. With electronic invoicing adoption rising, the company is positioning itself as a key player in the expanding market. Expansion plans include deeper AI integration and broader service capabilities for businesses.
