Lufthansa Technik, Cathay Group Ink Six-Year Boeing 777, 747 MRO Deal

Lufthansa Technik and Cathay Group have entered a significant six-year maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) partnership, marking a new milestone in their collaboration. This agreement covers 52 Boeing 777 and 20 Boeing 747 planes in Cathay's fleet, representing over a third of their total aircraft. Lufthansa Technik will exclusively provide Total Component Maintenance (TCM) for these widebody Boeing aircraft.

Dennis Kohr, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific at Lufthansa Technik, emphasized the importance of this partnership. He stated, 'We are delighted to expand our cooperation with Cathay Pacific. This tailored support solution will provide optimal flexibility and maximize fleet availability and cost performance.'

Keith Brown, Director of Engineering at Cathay Pacific, expressed confidence in Lufthansa Technik's technical expertise. He said, 'We are confident that Lufthansa Technik's comprehensive maintenance support program will ensure consistent reliability and operational steadiness for our fleet.' Lufthansa Technik will oversee component management for Cathay's Boeing 777 and 747 aircraft, ensuring top-notch performance and minimal downtime.
