Swimming to Get More Expensive in Lörrach as Pool Entry Fees Rise Sharply
Lörrach hikes public pool prices for 2026 season by up to 20%
The city of Lörrach is significantly increasing admission prices for its public swimming pools. On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, the city council is set to approve the new rates, which will take effect at the start of the 2026 outdoor pool season. According to the municipal utility company, the hikes are driven by soaring costs for energy, staffing, and operations.
Many prices will see noticeable increases: Adult admission will rise from €5.50 to €6.00, while the after-work ticket for outdoor pools will go up from €4.50 to €5.00. Additionally, children under five—previously admitted for free—will now pay a €1.00 entry fee.
The steepest jumps affect multi-entry passes: The so-called "dozen ticket" for adults will climb from €50 to €60, and the discounted version from €30 to €40. Families will also face higher costs, with the seasonal pass increasing from €180 to €200 and the annual pass rising from €280 to €310.
Another example: The adult annual pass will go up from €170 to €190, while single sauna sessions will jump from €15 to €18—one of the largest individual price hikes in the lineup.
Overall, the city expects the changes to generate around €104,000 in additional annual revenue. The goal, according to officials, is to offset at least part of the rising expenses.
