Neustadt's outdoor pool prices to rise by 23% from May 2026
Visits to Neustadt's outdoor swimming pool will soon cost significantly more, as the city plans a sharp increase in admission prices.
On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, the city council will vote on the new fee schedule, set to take effect on Thursday, May 1, 2026. According to officials, the hike is driven by soaring operating, staffing, and energy costs.
Single-entry tickets will see the steepest rise: adults will pay €5 instead of the current €4, while children and teens under 17, as well as people with severe disabilities, will see prices climb from €2.50 to €3.20. Even visitors with guest passes will face higher fees.
Season passes will become considerably more expensive as well. Adult passes are set to jump from €75 to €95, and family passes from €130 to €160. Group rates and school discounts will also go up.
Overall, the price adjustments amount to roughly 23 percent—comparable to general inflation since 2020. Despite the increase, the pool will remain subsidized, with an annual deficit of around €400,000.
The city expects the new pricing to generate an additional €16,000 in revenue per year, aiming to secure the pool's long-term operation, according to municipal authorities.
