Bus routes diverted on Galgenbergstraße, Regensburg; closure takes effect from 4th August
In a recent announcement, the Regensburg Verkehrsverbund (RVV) has revealed changes to several bus lines due to the closure of Galgenbergstraße from August 4, 2025, to September 12, 2025. Among the affected lines is Line 10, which will take a detour via Friedenstraße and Universitätsstraße.
The detour for Line 10 starts between HBF Süd/Arcaden and Oberer Katholischer Friedhof, and the exact altered route beyond this point is not specified. However, the measure mainly concerns the area around the Hauptbahnhof Süd/Arcaden.
During the detour period, the stop HBF Süd/Arcaden (bus stop for lines 3, 7, and 10) will not be served. Passengers are advised to use alternative nearby stops for their convenience. The stop Beethovenstraße (bus stop for line 7) will also be unavailable during this time.
Several other RVV lines will also be affected by the closure of Galgenbergstraße. Bus lines 3, 5, 6, 19, 20, 21, 21/24, and 38 will take a detour from August 4, 2025, to September 12, 2025.
For lines 3, 5, 6, 10, 19, 20, and 38, passengers will not be able to use the stops "Kumpfmühl Mitte", "Kumpfmühlstraße", and "Am Kumpfmühlbach". Instead, they are advised to use alternative nearby stops.
Lines 21 and 21/24 will not stop at "Wörthstraße" and "Otto-Hahn-Straße". Alternative stops on adjacent streets will be available.
The detour for bus lines 5, 6, 19, 20, 21, 21/24, and 38 will be via Furtmayrstraße, Alfons-Auer-Straße, and Haydnstraße between the stops HBF Süd/Arcaden and Haydnstraße.
The expected end date for these measures is Friday, September 12, 2025. Passengers are encouraged to check updated timetables and nearby stops for their convenience during this period.
