Young families in Ulchsky District receive housing subsidies in second 2024 round
Young Families in Ulchsky District Receive Housing Subsidies
On April 27, a ceremony was held in Ulchsky District to present young families with certificates granting them the right to a social payment for purchasing housing or constructing an individual home. According to the Khabarovsk Krai Today news agency, the initiative is part of the federal project "Support for Russian Regions in Providing State Assistance to Citizens for Housing and Utility Payments" and the municipal program "Housing for Young Families in Ulchsky District (2022–2030)."
This year's ceremony marks the second round of distributions—the first four families received their certificates in March.
"Young families come to our administration after reading about the program or hearing about it from friends or relatives. They ask how they can qualify and improve their living conditions. We can confidently say the program is in high demand," commented Alexey Vereshchagin, head of the Youth Policy, Physical Culture, and Sports Department of the Ulchsky District Administration.
He also noted that over the past decade, nearly 294 million rubles—including regional and local budget funds, as well as families' personal contributions—have been allocated for this purpose.
"It's worth noting that larger families receive higher payments. For example, a two-person household (a married couple) is entitled to 42 square meters. The approved cost per square meter in Ulchsky District is43,476.28 rubles. Multiply that by 42, and the state covers 30% of the total. If the family has a child, the per-person standard increases to 18 square meters, and the subsidy rises to 35%," Vereshchagin explained.
