Yakutia Offers 50,000 Ruble Bonus to Newlyweds Under 25

A new state measure in Yakutia, effective from January 2024, aims to bolster families and promote marriages. Eligible couples can receive a one-time payment of 50,000 rubles. The initiative is part of a range of social security programmes in the region, though no specific details on this particular measure have been officially announced by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

To qualify, spouses must be under 25 years old, reside in Yakutia, and have registered their marriage after January 1, 2024. This is their first marriage. Couples have six months from the date of marriage registration to apply for the payment. The application process is straightforward and can be completed electronically on the regional government services portal, requiring no additional documents.

The ministry, led by Natalya Zabolotskaya, oversees various social security programmes in the region. However, as of October 2025, there is no publicly verified information about a concrete new measure to strengthen young families and encourage marriages, specifically announced by the ministry.

While the one-time payment of 50,000 rubles is a welcome initiative, more details and official announcements from the ministry would help couples understand and access this benefit. For the latest information, interested couples should check the official ministry website and regional news portals.
