Business Delegation from Yakutia Meets with Belarusian Logistics Operator
Yakutia, Russia - A Yakutian business delegation, including representatives of JSC "AK "YAKUTIA" and major commercial enterprises, met with the leadership of Belarus' state enterprise "BELINTERTRANS" in Belarus on April 8 to discuss potential trade and logistics partnerships.
During the meeting, Pavel Lushchay, Deputy Director General of "BELINTERTRANS," discussed the enterprise's activities, terminal capabilities, and key indicators of cooperation with foreign countries. He emphasized that due to Western sanctions, Belarus is developing trade relations with China and Eurasian Union countries.
Dmitry Kondratov, Director General of JSC "AK "YAKUTIA," provided information about the company's activities. According to Kondratov, the trip was organized in line with the instructions of the Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) to establish logistics ties with Belarus for the transportation of Belarusian goods to Yakutia. Kondratov explained that the collaboration would be facilitated by accelerated container trains, in cooperation with Russian Railways (JSC "RZD"), from the Stolbovaya terminal in Yakutia.
cosmetic product manufacturers attending the meeting expressed interest in shipping their goods to Yakutia by rail provided they could maintain the necessary temperature regimes.
The Yakutian delegation also visited the "BELINTERTRANS" terminal at the Kolodichi station, which, due to its technical capabilities, could become a point of consolidation and dispatch of Belarusian goods to Yakutia. The parties expressed their interest in cooperation and readiness to continue business contacts to establish partnership relations in trade and cargo transportation.
"BELINTERTRANS" serves as the official freight forwarder and logistics operator of the Belarusian Railway, offering a full range of services for the transportation of cargo in export, import, transit, and domestic traffic.
Yakutia is a resource-rich region in Eastern Siberia, and its remote location presents logistical challenges. Belarus, with its extensive trade relations with Russia, particularly via the Belarusian railway network, has the potential to facilitate trade connections between itself and Yakutia. The meeting between the Yakutian delegation and Belintertrans marks a significant step towards developing these connections.
- The discussions between the Yakutian business delegation and Belintertrans also encompassed the potential for collaboration in the finance industry, as the Yakutian delegation explored financing options for the transportation of Belarusian goods.
- The collaboration between JSC "AK "YAKUTIA" and "BELINTERTRANS" could extend to other industries, such as the cosmetics sector, as cosmetic product manufacturers expressed interest in utilizing rail transportation services to ship their temperature-sensitive goods to Yakutia.
