Withings’ Body Scan 2 redefines home health with AI-driven biomarker tracking
French health tech firm Withings has unveiled its latest innovation at CES 2026. The Body Scan 2 is being called the most advanced home longevity station, designed to track over 60 biomarkers. Developed in partnership with cardiometabolic research centres, the device aims to bring clinical-level health monitoring into people’s homes.
Founded by Eric Carreel, Withings has positioned the device as a breakthrough in personalised, AI-driven health tracking. It promises early detection of imbalances through continuous, non-invasive measurements.
The Body Scan 2 combines multiple technologies to assess key health metrics. It uses ultra-high-frequency bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) to measure cellular health, metabolic efficiency, and blood sugar regulation. For heart function, the device relies on impedance cardiography (ICG) and a 6-lead ECG, providing detailed cardiac performance data.
Arterial stiffness and pulse wave velocity (PWV) are also monitored, while proprietary AI models analyse hypertension risk and blood sugar levels. These models have undergone clinical validation to ensure accuracy. All measurements are consolidated into a single health trend score. This score helps users track their health progression and the impact of lifestyle changes over time. The device features an LCD screen and two buttons for quick access to personalised questions and improvement tips. Data syncs automatically with the Withings app via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Security is ensured through compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO standards. The rechargeable battery lasts up to 15 months, reducing the need for frequent charging. Withings plans to release the Body Scan 2 in the second quarter of 2026. The device will retail for €499.95, pending final CE certification.
The Body Scan 2 offers a new way to monitor long-term health from home. By tracking biomarkers and providing AI-driven insights, it aims to help users detect potential issues early. The device is set to launch in mid-2026, subject to regulatory approval.
