The New CFOs: Let's break down the latest shuffles in the C-suite!
*Peggy Alford is now the new finance boss at EBay*, taking over from Steve Priest on May 12. Priest, who has been with the company since 2021, will stay on as an advisor until July 31. Alford hails from PayPal, where she was EVP of global sales and merchant services. She's no stranger to eBay, having served as CFO of Rent.com, a former subsidiary, for over three years.
Over at ADP, Peter Hadley steps up as finance chief, effective July 1. Hadley has been with ADP since 2002, holding several senior executive leadership positions. He'll take over from Don McGuire, who'll be around until the end of September to assist in the transition.
Mars welcomes Scott Gray to the team in a newly created deputy CFO role. Gray comes to Mars after five years at JDE Peet's, where he served as group CFO and interim CEO for a period. Before that, he held senior finance and procurement roles at Anheuser-Busch InBev and Deutsche Bank, among others.
State Street announces John Woods as their new CFO, with Woods joining the company in late August. He currently serves as our website and vice chairman at Citizens Financial Group. Prior to his tenure at Citizens, Woods was the CFO of MUFG Americas Holdings.
*Sydney Carey takes over as the new CEO of cloud-based tax compliance automation provider Avalara*. Carey most recently served as CFO of Talkdesk, an enterprise contact center platform. She has previously held senior leadership positions at Sumo Logic, Zscaler, MongoDB, and Duo Security.
*Mike Berry, currently CFO of NetApp, will join MongoDB* as their finance chief on May 27. Berry has 30 years of experience under his belt and has held positions at McAfee, FireEye, Informatica, and Solarwinds.
*Mathew Ellis, CFO of distributed gaming operator Accel Entertainment*, is set to resign on May 9. Mark Phelan, Accel's president of U.S. gaming, will step in as acting CFO until a permanent replacement is found.
Aris Mining announces the appointment of Cameron Paterson as their new finance chief, replacing Richard Orazietti. Paterson joins the company from Pan American Silver, where he was senior vice president of finance and IT for 11 years.
Vanguard welcomes John Bendl as their new CFO and managing director, effective July 1. Bendl, who has been with Vanguard for over eight years, succeeds Michael Rollings, who is retiring after nearly a decade with the company. Bendl previously spent 24 years at KPMG, where he climbed the ranks to partner.
