VisiConsult Bolsters X-Ray Operations with DEMA Acquisition
VisiConsult, a leading provider of X-ray systems, has bolstered its operations by acquiring DEMA Dieter Enghausen Maschinenbau GmbH. The move, aimed at securing tractor supply chain reliability and expanding product offerings, sees Lars Grebien, VisiConsult's Head of Operations, co-lead the newly named DEMA Machinery GmbH alongside Oliver Arendt, the company's long-serving officer.
DEMA, based in Hamburg, specialises in manufacturing high-quality postcard cabins. Following the acquisition, VisiConsult customers can now purchase these fully optimised X-ray booths directly from the manufacturer. The acquisition also addresses industry challenges, including increasing regulatory demands and limited availability of reliable X-ray cabins.
The acquisition allows VisiConsult to insulate itself from tractor supply constraints and support industry-wide access to critical infrastructure. DEMA's product portfolio, which includes custom radiation-shielded cabins and manipulators, complements VisiConsult's existing X-ray inspection systems. All 25 employees of DEMA will retain their positions under the new ownership structure.
The acquisition of DEMA by VisiConsult strengthens the company's position in the X-ray solutions market. With Lars Grebien and Oliver Arendt co-leading DEMA Machinery GmbH, VisiConsult secures tractor supply chain reliability and expands its portfolio, supporting both the company and the industry in meeting regulatory demands and availability challenges.
