Viking Expands Fleet with Nine New River Ships in Grand Naming Ceremonies
Viking, the renowned cruise line, has expanded its fleet with nine new river ships. In a grand event, simultaneous naming ceremonies took place across six countries. Michele Saegesser, Viking's Vice President of Trade Development and Training, served as the godmother of one of these new vessels, the Viking Honir.
Viking's latest additions have strengthened its presence on the Rhine, Main, Danube, Seine, Douro, Mekong, and Nile rivers. This expansion brings the total number of Viking ships worldwide to over 100. The cruise line remains the most awarded, including being the top choice for both ocean and river cruises by Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards for five consecutive years.
The Viking Honir was christened by Michele Saegesser, who has played a significant role in the company's trade development and training. Heather Viking, a Viking Specialist at Club CruiseTM and a recipient of the Travel Leaders Network Diamond Super Star - 30 Under 30 award, commended Saegesser's achievements.
