Velaris Rebrands to Unify Six Lab Automation Leaders Under One Vision
A leading laboratory automation platform has unveiled a new identity as Velaris. The rebranding follows three years of strategic growth, including the acquisition of six major companies in adjacent sectors. With a name inspired by the Latin word for speed, the firm aims to accelerate innovation and enhance customer service.
Velaris was previously known as Advanced Automation Technologies (AAT). Under CEO Amod Kher, the company has expanded rapidly since early 2023. It now includes Skalar Analytical, PromoChrom Technologies, LCTech, EST Analytical/TSHR, GERSTEL, and Trace Elemental Instruments—all market leaders in their fields.
The newly unified brand will retain the individual names of its acquired companies. Each will continue operating independently while benefiting from shared resources under the Velaris umbrella. The platform specialises in automated sample preparation, chromatography, elemental analysis, and robotics, helping labs improve workflow efficiency and precision. Velaris serves a global client base, including multinational testing labs and industrial firms. Its solutions cater to sectors like environmental monitoring, petrochemicals, agriculture, and food and beverage production. The company has also announced plans to launch new products, applications, and services by 2026.
The rebranding to Velaris marks a shift towards faster innovation and stronger customer support. With six acquisitions and a focus on automation, the company is positioning itself for further growth. Its expanded portfolio will continue serving key industries with advanced laboratory solutions.
