Uzbekistan and Slovenia aim to boost trade turnover to €500 million following a high-level visit by the former's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This significant step marks the first trip of its kind in two decades between the two countries.
During the visit, Mirziyoyev and Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar participated in a business forum attended by over 100 industrial and trade enterprises from both nations. The countries expressed their commitment to further expanding the exchange of goods and services and investment opportunities.
Uzbekistan is Slovenia's second-largest foreign trade partner in Central Asia. Their exports include garments, specialized chemical products, and precision tools, while Slovenia exports ceramics, stone products, and furniture.
