Unlimit and Decentro team up to simplify global payments for Indian businesses
Unlimit, a global financial infrastructure platform, has partnered with Decentro, India’s leading fintech enabler. The collaboration aims to simplify cross-border payments for Indian businesses looking to expand internationally. Both companies will provide a unified system for handling multi-currency transactions and local compliance.
The move comes as digital economies in Southeast Asia and Africa are set to grow rapidly, reaching $1 trillion and $1.5 trillion respectively by 2030. Indian fintechs and digital platforms often struggle with the complexities of global expansion. Challenges include varying regulatory demands and fragmented local payment systems. This partnership addresses those issues by offering a single programmable layer for payment acceptance and fund management.
Through the integration, businesses can now accept regionally preferred payment methods without setting up multiple local entities. These include PIX in Brazil, SEPA Instant in Europe, and popular e-wallets across Asia-Pacific. The solution leverages Unlimit’s proprietary payment network to extend Decentro’s cross-border capabilities into new markets.
Rohit Taneja, Founder and CEO of Decentro, highlighted that the partnership gives global merchants a seamless gateway to international markets. It ensures localised payment experiences, making expansion smoother. Irene Skrynova, CEO of Global Payments at Unlimit, added that the collaboration provides end-to-end global payment capabilities. This allows businesses to scale quickly, matching the pace of digital growth. The combined offering removes much of the complexity Indian companies face when entering foreign markets. By streamlining multi-currency transactions and compliance, the partnership supports faster global expansion. It also aligns with the rising demand for digital payment solutions in emerging economies.
