Award for Female Entrepreneurs from Leipzig and Dresden - Two Saxon Women Win 2025 Founders’ Award for Trailblazing Businesses
Two women from Leipzig and Dresden have won Saxony’s 2025 Female Founders’ Award. The prize recognises their achievements in building successful businesses. Each winner received €5,000 for their contributions to entrepreneurship in the region.
Babett Baraniec took home the award in the Startup category. Her platform, Krebs Campus, provides digital support for cancer patients, their families, and caregivers. The service includes educational modules and a moderated online community to help users navigate treatment and recovery.
Elisa Röhr won in the Growth category for her company, 1mal1japan. The online retailer specialises in meal kits, groceries, and accessories for Japanese cooking. Since launching, the business has attracted over 400,000 monthly users.
The Female Founders’ Award has been presented every year since 2008. This year’s winners were selected for their leadership and the impact of their companies. Both entrepreneurs built their businesses from the ground up, driving growth and innovation in their fields.
The award highlights the success of Baraniec and Röhr in Saxony’s business landscape. Krebs Campus and 1mal1japan will continue to expand, supported by the recognition and prize money. The annual award remains a key platform for celebrating women-led enterprises in the region.
