True cause of missing buses from Omsk's Isilkul to Poltavka revealed
Debunking Rumors: No Bus Service Cancellation Between Isilkul and Poltavka Due to Road Conditions
Last night, rumors swirled on social media regarding the reason for the suspension of the bus service between Isilkul and Poltavka, a distance of approximately 79 kilometers. Earlier reports suggested that the poor road conditions were to blame, but the Ministry of Transportation in Omsk has since denied this claim.
"As of March, the contract for the maintenance of Route 1303, which was initially in place, has expired. The ministry has organized a new bidding process for the service. During the recent auction, no bids were received for participation. The auction has been deemed unsuccessful," explained representatives from the ministry.
It was also announced that preparations for another round of bidding are underway, and the ministry plans to adjust the parameters of the route.
Notably, "Omskoblavtotrans" was the last transportation provider for the Isilkul - Poltavka route, with buses operating three times a week (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).
