Traffic pattern altered once more at the junction of Maslennikova and Marx in Omsk
Revamped Traffic Scheme Via Maslennikova Street and Prospekt Marks Kicks off June 3!
Mark your calendar, as Omsk is reinstating a traffic management plan at the intersection of Maslennikova Street and Prospekt Marks, effective June 3, 2025. This arrangement was previously in use during the limitations placed on traffic via the Lenin Grad Bridge.
According to Omsk Mayor Sergei Shelesht, the scheme demonstrated its effectiveness, which is why it will be back in action from mid-June 2025, complete with minor adjustments.
Here's a breakdown: access to Prospekt Marks via Maslennikova Street is now four-laned, and the intersection's traffic light has been equipped with an extra section. Straight-ahead movement towards the Lenin Grad Bridge will be authorized on the second, third, and fourth lanes with the primary signal from the main section of the traffic light, while the right turn will be permitted from the first lane via the supplementary section's signal.

A right turn from Puushkina Street will be executed in the same phase with vehicles turning left from Lenina Street. As per Road Traffic Regulations, vehicles performing a left turn take precedence. In this specific case, the "obstruction from the right" rule does not apply.
