Traffic Alert in Bamberg Starting Wednesday - Detours and Schedules Adjustments for Public Transportation

Due to a private construction site on Wildensorger Street and the Sandkerwa festival setup, there will be changes to bus services in Bamberg, Germany, from August 13th to 20th, 2025.

For on-demand bus services on August 20th, the bus will run hourly during the day and at regular times after 8 PM. Notably, the stops "Jakobsplatz" to "Eichelseeweg" can only be reached by on-demand bus in both directions on this day.

In addition, the stops "Lange Straße" to "Domschule" will not be served on the outbound trip, and "Domschule" and "Domplatz" will be omitted on the return trip. Passengers are advised to book their trip at least 30 minutes before departure by calling 0951/14443.

During this period, Wildensorger Street will be closed, and it is recommended to bypass via Kaulberg to reach the city center. Detours for motorized traffic and cyclists coming from Wildensorg will be via Rothofleite, St.-Getreu-Straße, and Am Bundleshof; from Jakobsberg in the reverse order.

From August 15th to 17th, the bus stops "Wildensorger Street" to "Wildensorg Mitte" in both directions can only be served by the on-demand bus, which runs hourly during the day and at regular times after 8 PM.

On these same dates, only one on-demand bus (ALT) will be in service due to the construction. Exact departure times for August 20th can be found at local displays or on the VGN website at www.vgn.de.

Pedestrians can still pass through the construction site, but signage will be provided on federal road B22. Detours for motorized traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians remain the same as previously announced.

For detailed and up-to-date information about detours and schedule changes for bus line 910 during this period, passengers are encouraged to contact the local transportation authorities or visit the official website of the Bamberg public transportation system.
