Toyota Bids Farewell to the GR Supra with the A90 Last Edition

Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition: A Fitting Farewell to an Icon

The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Toyota prepares to unveil the A90 Final Edition of its iconic GR Supra. This special model marks the end of the current generation of the Supra, which returned to the market in 2019 after a 17-year absence.

The GR Supra has always been a sports car with racing-focused features, and the A90 Final Edition is no exception. It boasts a lower center of gravity, shorter wheelbase, and wider track, ensuring a dynamic driving experience. The vehicle's body has been reinforced for increased driver-road connection, and it comes equipped with RECARO Podium CF bucket seats in red with Alcantara seat pads.

The A90 Final Edition's exterior is adorned with a carbon fiber front spoiler, a carbon fiber swan-neck rear wing, and a carbon fiber duct on the bonnet. For improved aerodynamics, it also features front canards and a front center flap. Under the hood, the vehicle houses an uprated 3.0L six-cylinder engine that produces 429hp and 420lb.ft of torque.

The A90 Final Edition's sound is as powerful as its performance, thanks to an Akrapovic titanium muffler. To enhance handling, it features damping-force-adjustable KW suspension and adjusted camber angles. The vehicle also comes with a GR Supra Lightweight Evo.

Exclusive carbon fiber scuff plates and a driver-focused steering wheel add to the A90 Final Edition's sporty interior. The vehicle will be available on Toyota's website for more information.

While the price of the A90 Final Edition has yet to be announced, it is expected to cost more than the $56,250 MSRP of the standard 2025 GR Supra. The vehicle will be limited to 300 examples for the European and Japanese markets, making it a rare find for fans of the iconic sports car.

The development of the A90 Final Edition was carried out by a team within the Toyota Motor Corporation that works closely with its partner companies. Often referred to as Gazoo Racing (GR), this team is known for its involvement in various Toyota performance models, including the GR Supra.

Gazoo Racing is a collaboration between Toyota and BMW, and the GR Supra is no exception. A team of experienced engineers and designers worked together to ensure that the vehicle is both powerful and refined. The A90 Final Edition was developed with the aim of celebrating the Supra's performance and design while honouring its fans.

Markets such as Japan and Australia will follow for the GR Supra A90 Final Edition. In Europe, the vehicle can be ordered starting January 2025, with deliveries planned for Spring. The GR Supra A90 Final Edition is a fitting farewell to an iconic sports car, and a testament to Toyota's commitment to performance and innovation.
