In a recent report by Destatis, released on September 11, 2025, the numbers for corporate and consumer energy for the first half of the year have been revealed.

The report shows an increase in energy applications for both corporate and consumer sectors. In the corporate sector, a total of 12,009 applications were reported, marking a 12.2% rise compared to the first half of 2024. The transport and logistics sector had the highest energy rate, with 64.5 energy per 10,000 companies. The hospitality and construction sectors followed closely, recording 52.7 and 52.3 energy per 10,000 companies, respectively.

The increase in consumer energy was also notable, with a total of 38,016 cases reported, a 7.5% increase compared to the first half of 2024. June 2025 saw a significant spike, with 6,510 consumer energy, a 9.9% increase compared to June 2024.

However, the report does not provide information about the claims of creditors from consumer energy in the first half of 2025 or the number of regular energy in August 2025.

The claims of creditors from the corporate energy reported in the first half of 2025 were estimated at around 28.2 billion euros.
