The $5 billion *History Supreme* yacht remains an unproven legend
Claims about the world’s most expensive yacht, the History Supreme, have resurfaced in recent discussions. The vessel, allegedly worth nearly $5 billion, is said to belong to a Malaysian entrepreneur—though no solid proof exists. Experts question whether the yacht, supposedly covered in gold and platinum, could even stay afloat.
The History Supreme has long been surrounded by mystery. Reports describe it as a luxury ship encased in precious metals, giving it an estimated value of $4.8 billion. However, marine engineers argue that a yacht made of gold and platinum would be far too heavy to float, casting doubt on its existence.
Other superyachts, like the Azzam, hold verified records. At 180 metres long, the Azzam remains the largest yacht in the world, with a confirmed purchase price of $605 million. Meanwhile, Roman Abramovich’s Eclipse is often cited as the most expensive, with some valuations exceeding $1 billion. Despite the History Supreme’s legendary status, no credible evidence confirms its construction or ownership. The Malaysian businessman linked to it has never publicly verified the claims, leaving the yacht’s story unproven.
While the History Supreme continues to capture headlines, its existence remains unverified. In contrast, yachts like the Azzam and Eclipse hold clear records for size and cost. Without concrete proof, the History Supreme stays a myth rather than a maritime marvel.
