Tesla Provides Complimentary Wrap for Foundation Series Cybertruck Purchasers in Canada and the U.S., Reduces Lease Cost in the U.S.
Tesla Boosts Sales of Cybertruck with Promotions and Inventory Expansion
Tesla is making a push to stimulate sales of its Tesla stock, an electric pickup truck that has been in production since late 2021. The company is offering various promotions, including lower monthly payments and a free XPEL wrap, to entice buyers.
In a move that marks a first for Canada, Tesla has added Foundation Series Cybertrucks to their inventory website, offering dozens, if not hundreds, of units for immediate delivery. This expansion comes as Tesla actively works to boost demand and increase sales, particularly for the Foundation Series.
One of the promotions being offered is a lease price reduction for the Cybertruck AWD. The new lease price represents nearly a 20% decrease, bringing it down from $899 per month to $749 per month. This price reduction makes the Cybertruck AWD more affordable for a wider range of buyers.
In addition to the lease price reduction, Tesla is offering a free XPEL wrap for customers who purchase a Foundation Series Cybertruck in North America. Eligible buyers will receive a voucher for the wrap within 14 days of taking delivery. The wrap installation must be coordinated directly with XPEL at one of their 125+ authorized installer locations across North America.
It's worth noting that Tesla stopped producing the Foundation Series Cybertruck in October last year, but still has thousands of units left to sell. This means that buyers have a good chance of finding the model they want on Tesla's inventory website.
Tesla's in-house wraps for the Cybertruck cost $4,500 in the U.S., so the free XPEL wrap offer represents a significant savings for buyers. The offer is valid until March 31, 2025, and customers must redeem the voucher by June 30, 2025, or it will expire.
Demand for the Foundation Series Cybertruck in Canada has waned, as there are only so many people willing to pay close to $200,000 for the electric truck. However, the promotions being offered by Tesla may help to increase interest and drive sales in Canada and beyond.
In the U.S., the Cybertruck AWD remains eligible for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, further reducing the overall cost for lessees. This tax credit is in addition to the lease price reduction and free XPEL wrap offer, making the Cybertruck AWD an even more attractive option for buyers.
Overall, Tesla's promotions and inventory expansion are a clear indication that the company is committed to boosting sales of the Cybertruck, particularly the Foundation Series. With lower monthly payments, a free XPEL wrap, and the potential for significant savings through the federal EV tax credit, the Cybertruck is now more affordable than ever for buyers in North America.
