Tech Nation's 2026 Climate Programme Unveils 25 High-Impact ClimateTech Startups

Tech Nation has revealed its latest group of 25 ClimateTech companies for the 2026 Climate Programme. These startups will take part in a four-month growth scheme designed to speed up their impact on climate challenges. Together, they have already secured over $250 million in funding.

The selected firms focus on areas like energy, food systems, and industrial decarbonisation. Many are developing hardware or life sciences solutions, marking a clear move toward advanced deep tech in climate innovation. The 2026 cohort includes companies working across food, energy, materials, and nature restoration. Among them, Aquanzo turns organic waste into sustainable nutrition for aquaculture and pet food. Allye Energy specialises in cloud-connected energy storage to support distributed power systems.

Since its launch in 2020, the Climate Programme has grown a network of more than 165 leading climate tech firms. The latest group has an average funding of £9 million per company. Their solutions address pressing environmental issues while collaborating with major corporates like Microsoft, Shell, and Heathrow.

A notable trend in this year's selection is the focus on deep tech. Out of the 25 companies, 23 are building hardware or life sciences innovations. This shift highlights the programme's push toward more complex, high-impact climate technologies. The 2026 Climate Programme cohort will now enter an intensive four-month acceleration phase. Their combined funding and partnerships with global firms position them to scale their climate solutions rapidly. The programme continues to expand its influence in the climate tech sector, supporting startups that tackle some of the world's most urgent environmental challenges.
