Tech-Focused Real Estate Survey: Exploring the Ways Your Organization Amplifies Technological Advancements to Boost Investment Results

In a groundbreaking survey conducted by Funds Europe's research arm, Funds Global Intelligence, in partnership with Vistra Fund Solutions, it has been revealed that real estate investment managers are increasingly viewing technology and data usage as essential tools for driving value, improving operational agility, and managing risk.

The survey, which takes only 5 minutes to complete, aims to understand how real estate investment management professionals respond to increasing market complexity, changes in investor expectations, and the accelerating pace of digitization. The survey link can be found here, and a button is provided to start the survey.

Key findings from the survey indicate that around 85% of real estate decision-makers expect to increase investments in technology over the next three years, with a focus on solutions that enhance tenant experience, operational efficiency, value creation, and risk management.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption is surging, especially among real estate agents, with daily usage rising from about 50% to 58% in a year. The strategic push is to extend AI use throughout transaction workflows, from discovery to closing.

Technology is increasingly leveraged to improve data analytics capabilities that support better investment insights and risk assessments. However, many firms still struggle to develop actionable tech strategies and integrate legacy systems with new digital tools.

Despite these challenges, sustainability and clean tech are significant drivers of increased tech investment, reflecting the growing importance of ESG factors in real estate investment decisions.

The survey underscores a landscape where real estate investment managers are rapidly embracing emerging technologies like AI and advanced data analytics to improve productivity, enhance risk management, and create competitive advantages. However, they also confront challenges in strategy implementation and full technology integration.

Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts on data quality, accessibility to data, and the types of technology currently being used. Personal details will not be collected or passed on in the survey. Findings from the survey will be aggregated to paint an overall picture of the use of technology and data in real estate investment management.

The survey is still available for participation, and there will be no attribution of responses or comments in the findings. So, take part in this insightful survey today and contribute to shaping the future of real estate investment management!
