Support for Five Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) with a focus on America, given by Trump Media.
In a recent development, Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) has announced the creation of a new family of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The funds, named Truth Social American Icons ETF, Truth Social American Security & Defense ETF, Truth Social American Next Frontiers ETF, Truth Social American Energy Security ETF, and Truth Social American Red State REITs ETF, will focus on domestic icons, security and defense, next frontiers, energy, and real estate investment funds in red states.
TMTG, the corporate parent of Truth Social, a social media platform where President Donald Trump communicates with the American public, will back these ETFs. The largest shareholder in TMTG is the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, holding a 41% stake.
Yorkville America Equities will sponsor the new suite of ETFs. Yorkville America is an affiliate of Yorkville America. The planned Truth Social Funds ETFs will list on the New York Stock Exchange, subject to approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission later this year.
The company has expressed that there are many investors who want a return on their investment while being consistent with America-First principles. This sentiment has been echoed by investors, who have shown positive feedback about the new suite of ETFs.
In addition to the traditional ETFs, TMTG is exploring additional themes for the family of funds after the rollout of the first five. The planned Truth.Fi ETFs, financed by TMTG, focus on cryptocurrency-related assets such as spot Bitcoin ETFs. However, no detailed list of American companies involved in these ETFs has been publicly disclosed yet.
Beyond the ETFs, TMTG also runs Truth+, a streaming platform focusing on family-friendly content. Shares of Truth Social, owned by TMTG, have lost over 50% this year. Despite this, interest for the ETFs has been solid.
It's worth noting that this news is unrelated to the potential tweaking of the retirement age by the Trump Administration, as mentioned in a separate news item. The development of the Truth Social Funds represents a significant move by TMTG into the financial sector, offering investors a unique opportunity to align their investments with America-First principles.
