SumUp's Solo Lite card reader launches for mobile traders at £25

SumUp has introduced the Solo Lite card reader, a new payment solution for small businesses. The device is now available in the UK and across Europe. Designed for mobile traders, it offers portability and ease of use at a low cost.

The Solo Lite connects to smartphones via Bluetooth, making it suitable for both on-the-go and in-store 'find my device' transactions. It accepts all major payment and card types, ensuring flexibility for merchants. A durable Corning® Gorilla® screen and long battery life add to its reliability.

Priced at a one-time cost of £25, the device charges a small fee per 'online payments' transaction. It also provides next-day payouts and the option to spend earnings directly through the SumUp Business Account. Business owners can track sales, issue refunds, and monitor performance using the SumUp app.

The card reader is currently available on SumUp's official website. It will also be stocked in various retailers from Q2 2026. Targeted at food trucks, market traders, and entrepreneurs, it aims to simplify payment processing for small businesses.

For the latest details on Solo Lite's availability in specific European countries, SumUp recommends checking their official website or contacting customer service. The device's affordability, portability, and integrated features position it as a practical tool for mobile and small-scale merchants.
