In the heart of Arnsberg, the city is embarking on an exciting project to expand the Johanneskirche Neheim bus stop into a double stop as part of the funding program for the barrier-free expansion of bus stops in the city by 2025/2026.

The construction work, which includes the installation of passenger shelters and improvements to the sidewalk surfaces, is scheduled for September 10 to September 16. This work will necessitate a full road closure during the specified dates to ensure the project's successful completion.

However, a slight detour is in order as the planned passenger shelters could not be delivered and installed by August 2025 due to production reasons. Despite this setback, the city asks for the understanding of passengers and residents regarding the construction work inconveniences.

To keep traffic restrictions to a minimum, "Small Schobbostraße" will remain reopened for two-way traffic during the construction phase. This decision is designed to maintain the flow of traffic while ensuring the project's progress.

The company responsible for manufacturing and installing the two planned passenger protection shelters for the expanded Johanneskirche Neheim bus stops in Arnsberg is Firma Glasbau Stute GmbH. The shelters will be installed from September 10 to September 16, and the sidewalk surfaces at the expanded double stop will also be worked on during the installation period.

The city of Arnsberg appreciates the patience and understanding of its residents and passengers during this construction phase. The expansion of the bus stop is an essential step towards improving public transportation accessibility in the city, and the installation of passenger shelters will provide much-needed protection from the elements for commuters.

As always, the city encourages everyone to stay informed about the progress of this project and other developments in the city by visiting the official website or following the city's social media channels.
