In a remarkable display of corporate social responsibility, ManpowerGroup, a global leader in workforce solutions, has announced a significant new commitment to help refugees find employment and rebuild their lives. This renewed pledge, made at Tent's European Business Summit in June 2023, builds upon the company's long-standing dedication to refugee integration, which began in 2008.

ManpowerGroup has partnered with various NGOs, governmental institutions, and businesses globally to facilitate job opportunities for refugees. Notable collaborations include the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (IFRI) and the European Network Against Racism (ENAR), which have strengthened ManpowerGroup's commitment to refugee integration.

To facilitate this endeavour, ManpowerGroup is launching a dedicated website, Jobs for Refugees, designed to connect refugees with hiring companies and make the job-seeking process more accessible. The platform adopts a "skills first" approach, ensuring that refugees are matched with job opportunities based on their unique skills and qualifications.

The Jobs for Refugees initiative is part of ManpowerGroup's broader goal of supporting refugee employment and integration. By the end of 2027, the company aims to recruit 85,000 refugees and train 17,000 refugees globally. This ambitious target surpasses ManpowerGroup's initial pledge, made in 2020, to connect 50,000 refugees to jobs over three years and provide technical and language training to 10,000.

ManpowerGroup's commitment to refugee employment has received praise from various quarters. Tent CEO Gideon Maltz commended the company for its efforts, particularly in aiding Ukrainian refugees. Kenneth Campbell, CEO of L'Oréal Austria, Germany, and Switzerland (DACH), also emphasised the company's commitment to employ people from disadvantaged socioeconomic communities, including those with a refugee background.

One of the companies ManpowerGroup is working with to achieve these goals is L'Oréal Germany. ManpowerGroup has also joined the "Job Turbo for the Integration of Refugees into the Labour Market" initiative in Germany, aiming to employ at least 10,000 refugees by the end of 2025.

ManpowerGroup's renewed commitment to helping refugees is a significant step forward in its mission to empower displaced people and provide them with opportunities to rebuild their lives. Refugees from all nationalities can now explore and connect to job opportunities worldwide through the Jobs for Refugees platform.
