SparkHaus: Northern Kentucky's New Hub for Veteran Entrepreneurs
SparkHaus, a collaborative workspace in Northern Kentucky, is transforming into a community-focused hub for entrepreneurs, with a special focus on veterans and their spouses. This project is a partnership between Kenton County, the Northern Kentucky Port Authority, and Blue North. It is set to open in August 2025, following construction that began in late-September 2024, led by Urban Sites with City Studios as the architect.
Upon completion, SparkHaus aims to accommodate 200-300 people daily, making it the largest entrepreneurship hub in Kentucky. It will be home to veteran-led firms such as Sunflower Fuels and eGateway Capital. The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization, with roots in the Tri-State region, is eager to support local veterans and their families through SparkHaus. DAV's Patriot Boot Camp program will use the space to provide free startup education, mentorship, and community support for veterans and their spouses. This program bridges funding, education, and mentorship gaps for veteran entrepreneurs, who bring unique qualities like resilience and leadership to their businesses.
SparkHaus, through its partnership with DAV, is committed to being a platform for veterans and their spouses who wish to start their own businesses. The hub is expected to open in August 2025, offering a vibrant community for entrepreneurs to grow and thrive.
