Solar park initiative at Jochen Schweizer Arena: Self-reliant energy production through renewable sources

VISPIRON Energy and the Jochen Schweizer Arena Embrace Green Energy

In a significant step towards a climate-neutral future, VISPIRON Energy, a subsidiary of the VISPIRON Group, is partnering with the Jochen Schweizer Arena in Taufkirchen near Munich, to transition the arena's energy supply to renewable sources.

The project, which commenced planning in 2022, is set to conclude a contract with VISPIRON Energy in 2024. The solar park, covering an area of 52,000 square meters in Brunnthal, will be the primary source of electricity for the arena.

Thomas Mischinger, the founder and owner of the VISPIRON Group, is instrumental in the planning and realization of this solar park project. VISPIRON Energy specializes in sustainable energy solutions, with a focus on photovoltaics, battery storage, charging infrastructure, and energy management since 2007.

The solar park is expected to produce around 2.5 times the demand for electricity at the Jochen Schweizer Arena. The electricity generated by the solar park will be fed directly into the arena via a dedicated line.

The project timeline includes the installation of the distribution station on the arena site in August 2025, followed by the delivery of battery storage and the installation of photovoltaic systems in October 2025. The commissioning of the overall system is planned for December 2025.

The solar park project also includes an integrated buffer storage system for continuous supply, even during nighttime and changing weather conditions. The laying of the 2.2 km medium voltage line from the solar park to the Jochen Arena is scheduled for September 2025.

The Jochen Schweizer Arena, registered under HRB Munich 207870, offers high-quality event and conference services, indoor surfing, indoor skydiving, climbing, outdoor activities, and culinary experiences. It can accommodate up to 1,200 guests.

This solar park project marks a first for Germany, as the Jochen Schweizer Arena becomes the first experience world in the country to supply itself with electricity via a solar park. VISPIRON Energy has developed the scalable ENERGY WORLD, an intelligent eco-system that connects producers, storage, and consumers.

With this partnership, both VISPIRON Energy and the Jochen Schweizer Arena are taking a bold step towards a greener and more sustainable future, supporting industry, municipalities, and commerce in their transition to a climate-neutral energy supply.
