Sochi Developers Fined Over $16M for Lacking Social Infrastructure

However, developers have been constructing residential buildings without necessary permits, with six such buildings identified in Sochi. The responsibility for creating the required infrastructure has consequently fallen to the social security office. The lack of social security infrastructure in new residential buildings in Sochi has resulted in legal action, with over 1.2 billion rubles recovered from developers. While arrests have been made to enforce court decisions, no developers have been punished specifically for violating urban building laws or neglecting social security infrastructure. The social security office is now responsible for providing the necessary infrastructure.
