Select Water Solutions Hits 1 Billion Barrels Recycled, Eyes Lithium Expansion

Select Water Solutions has reported strong financial and operational results for 2025. The company recycled a record 330 million barrels of water last year, bringing its total to 1 billion barrels since 2021. Revenue and profit growth were also highlighted across key business segments.

The company's consolidated revenue reached $1.4 billion for the year, with adjusted EBITDA at $260 million. In the fourth quarter alone, EBITDA stood at $64.2 million.

The Water Services segment saw a 7% sequential revenue increase in the final quarter. Its gross margin before depreciation and amortisation (D&A) also rose by two percentage points to 20%. Meanwhile, the Chemical Technology segment delivered 19% annual revenue growth and a 45% jump in gross profit before D&A.

Water Infrastructure performed strongly, with gross margins before D&A climbing to 54% in the fourth quarter. This segment is forecast to grow by 20%-25% in 2026, with margins expected to stay steady. The company also expanded its disposal capacity in the Northern Delaware by 55,000 barrels per day during the quarter.

On the strategic side, Select Water Solutions secured nearly 1 million dedicated acres through new contracts in 2025. These agreements have an average term of 11 years. The company also announced new lithium extraction partnerships in the Haynesville and Permian regions, with first royalty payments due by early 2027. Over the past five years, its lithium projects have focused on California's Salton Sea and Arkansas' Smackover Formation, with potential expansions planned in Nevada, Utah, and South America's Lithium Triangle.

The results reflect Select Water Solutions' growth in water recycling, infrastructure, and chemical services. With expanded disposal capacity and new lithium ventures, the company is positioning itself for further development in 2026. Financial performance and long-term contracts also support its ongoing expansion plans.
