A Night to Remember: Sean Brady Rises in UFC's Welterweight Rankings
Sean Brady recounts the moment he defeated Leon Edwards during UFC London fight night.
In a thrilling turn of events, Sean Brady silenced his critics at UFC London. Taking on former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards on short notice, Brady emerged victorious, dealing the ex-champ his first stoppage loss in his MMA career.
After handing Edwards a tough defeat, Brady marked his territory in the UFC's welterweight division. In the post-fight press conference, Brady discussed his gameplan and strategy that led to this spectacular performance.
"Leon's a very technical fighter, but when you make it a real hard fight, he tends to break, and I could see he was breaking," Brady revealed. "Once I knew he wanted to grapple with me, I knew it was going to be over soon."
Brady's performance against Edwards was hailed as impressively dominant, leaving the ex-champ seemingly out of answers. Despite Brady's tactics being noticed by many, including the spectators, it was his self-assured demeanor that truly set him apart.
"Leon's a pretty striker. He likes to have his range and have things go on his terms," the Philadelphia native explained. "And once they start going off his terms, he does dumb s*** like shoot on me, and then it goes downhill from there."

UFC Welterweight Title Ahead for Brady?
Brady's recent victory against Edwards eclipsed the performance Belal Muhammad delivered, clinching the title from Edwards in UFC 304.
"I did it a lot better than Belal did," Brady admitted. "I think Belal lost a couple rounds, he had his back taken for an entire round, I think it was 3-2 (the final scores were 48-47, 48-47, 49-46) when they fought. I dominated Leon every round. No one's ever done it like me. Then I submitted him and made him quit in front of his hometown. If we were in Philly, you ain't making me quit in front of my hometown, I'll tell you that. I'm going to sleep, son. So just remember that."
With his standing in the welterweight division on the rise, Brady has received his fair share of skepticism. He responded to his doubters in his usual outspoken fashion:
"I don't give a (expletive), you can think whatever you want to think about me. I'm here getting my hand raised, cashing checks, taking my team around the world and living my life."

An Opportunity Knocks for UFC 315
Should the UFC ask him to fill in as a backup fighter for UFC 315, Brady has hinted he would be open to the opportunity. As he strives to add more names to his resume, fans eagerly await what the future holds for this rising talent in the UFC.
Sean Brady entered the UFC London fight card as the No. 5 welterweight in the official UFC rankings, while Edwards was ranked at No. 1. With incredible performances and strong competition like Shavkat Rakhmonov, Belal Muhammad, and Kamaru Usman, the UFC's welterweight division remains hard-fought and exciting.
