New Chief Economist at Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft (INSM): Stefan Schoencke

Starting January 1, 2025, Stefan Schoencke will assume the role of Chief Economist at the Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft (INSM). Schoencke brings a strong background in economic research and policy analysis to the position.

Schoencke's expertise lies in economic policy, labor markets, and social market economy principles. He has extensive experience in research related to Germany’s social market economy and has contributed to public debates on economic policy, emphasizing market-oriented reforms and sustainable economic growth.

Before joining INSM, Schoencke worked as a senior economist and researcher, and he previously served as an economic policy advisor in the Bundestag office of Carsten Linnemann for six years. He also currently works as a Senior Consultant at Kienbaum.
