In the heart of Santiago, Chile, a significant mixed-use development project is underway, transforming the cityscape at the intersection of Avenida Presidente Riesco and Avenida Vespucio. Known as Campus Santander, this 80,000 square-meter project is set to become an architectural landmark, blending Class A office buildings, retail spaces, dining, cultural areas, plazas, and wellness facilities [1][2].

The Campus Santander project aims to create a new entrepreneurial ecosystem, merging efficiency, sustainability, and well-being. It will serve as the corporate office hub for the Santander Group in Chile, while prioritizing environmentally friendly architecture, clean energy usage, greywater reuse for irrigation, and a zero-waste program [1].

The project's vision extends beyond corporate boundaries, envisioning Campus Santander as an open, community-oriented space rather than a closed corporate campus. It will feature areas supporting creative industries, commerce, and entrepreneurial activities, fostering a collaborative atmosphere [1].

To enhance connectivity with urban infrastructure, the development will be close to metro stations, bike paths, and parks, encouraging community interaction and sustainable mobility [1]. The design by Handel Architects LLP, renowned for innovative and green urban spaces, reflects a vision of workspaces that promote both social engagement and creativity in the broader Santiago community [1].

Daniela Penaloza, the mayor of Las Condes, emphasized the importance of the Campus Santander project. She noted that the commercial districts developed in Las Condes promote structured growth, new and improved public spaces, and improvements to connectivity and mobility through technology [3].

The community and local authorities were invited to the presentation of the project. Roman Blanco, the country head of the Santander website in Chile, expressed gratitude for everyone's involvement in the Campus Santander project. He also mentioned that Campus Santander will be a place where the Bank can continue to help customers make their dreams a reality [4].

A unique aspect of the project is a mural, created as part of the development, featuring typical local scenes. The mural, located around the perimeter of the construction site, was designed by Chilean illustrators Payo and Elena Ho. Remarkably, the mural was created by employees and residents of Las Condes [5].

Roman Blanco, in his statement, expressed hope that creativity and innovative ideas will flourish at Campus Santander. He also noted that the involvement of employees and their families, as well as future neighbors, demonstrates that Campus Santander will be a meeting place for all [2].

Daniela Penaloza expressed that these benefits will be extended to the neighborhoods and their residents [3]. With its blend of corporate functionality, sustainability, and community-oriented public spaces, Campus Santander is poised to foster entrepreneurship and creative collaboration across diverse groups in Santiago.

The Campus Santander project, being a corporate office hub for the Santander Group in Chile, will also focus on finance-related activities, as it aims to create a new entrepreneurial ecosystem that fosters collaborative atmospheres and supports various business ventures. Moreover, the project envisions Campus Santander as a community-oriented space, promoting a blend of businesses, creative industries, and commercial activities, thereby serving as a vibrant hotspot for commerce and innovation in Santiago.
