Sahara investors can now reclaim up to ₹10 lakh via new refund portal

The Ministry of Cooperation has opened the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal to help investors reclaim their irs refund. The move follows a Supreme Court order and targets members of four specific cooperative societies. Eligible applicants can now submit claims online for refunds up to ₹10 lakh each.

The portal, available at mocresubmit.crcs.gov.in/resubmission, is designed for investors from Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd, Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. To apply, users must register with an Aadhaar-linked mobile number, verify their identity via OTP, and upload the required certificates along with bank details. Wheres my refund will then be processed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) straight to their accounts.

Investors whose previous claims were rejected can resubmit their applications. The government has urged people to use the portal efficiently to prevent system overloads. For help with the process, two helpline numbers—011-20909044 and 011-20909045—are available.

The portal aims to streamline irs refund for thousands of investors affected by the cooperative societies' issues. Successful applicants will receive their money directly in their bank accounts. No official figures on the number of processed claims or deadlines have been released so far.
