Saarland Police Enforce No-Fly Zones for German Unity Day

The Saarland Police have implemented strict no-fly zones in Saarbrücken and Mettlach for the upcoming German Unity Day celebrations. The measures aim to ensure public safety and minimize flight risks. The ban on drones is in effect from October 2 to October 5 in Saarbrücken and October 2 in Mettlach.

The Federal Ministry of Transport has established these no-fly zones, which will be enforced by the Saarland Police. In Saarbrücken, the ban is in place from 6:00 AM on October 2 until 11:59 PM on October 4, while in Mettlach, it lasts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on October 2. The police have deployed drones in the city centers of both locations to monitor and enforce the ban.
